Last month, a Huawei smartphone with Huawei MED-AL00 model number bagged certifications by TENAA and 3C. While the TENAA listing showed the handset’s design, dimensions, display size, and battery capacity, the 3C listing only revealed that it could be a budget smartphone that supports standard 10W charging solution. Now, the handset has passed through the benchmark platform Geekbench with some new details.
According to the Geekbench listing, the mysterious Huawei MED-AL00 is powered by a MediaTek MT6765V, which is pretty much the Helio P35 SoC with a 2.3GHz octa-core CPU. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and boots Android 10 out of the box. The setup helps the phone achieve 868 points in the single-core test and 4,356 points in the multi-core test.
To recall, its TENAA listing showed that the handset will come with a standard water-drop notch screen with a size of 6.3 inches. The resolution of the display is still unknown. At the back, we can see a dual-camera cluster stacked vertically in a rectangular module, which is located at the top left corner. On the right side, there are a volume rocker and a power button. Its dimensions are 159,07 x 74.06 x 9.04 mm. The minimum rated battery of the Huawei MED-AL00 is 4,900 mAh, which means its typical size might go up to 5,000 mAh.
For now, we don’t know when the phone will be officially announced and we also have no idea about its actual name. Hopefully, the TENAA listing will get updated soon and give us more details about this phone.
Interestingly, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has also developed a new smartphone with model number MOA-AL00. It also has a water-drop notch display with 6.3 inches size and a minimum rated battery of 4,900 mAh. Not just that, the phone is also said to have dual rear cameras housed in a rectangular module. The dimensions of this phone are exactly the same as the Huawei MED-AL00, 159,07 x 74.06 x 9.04 mm.
