The upcoming additions to the Google Pixel series, Pixel 3a and 3a XL, have featured on many leaks and rumors in the recent days. Google is said to announce these two mid-range phones at the I/O 2019 event on 7 May. Ahead of their official launch, we have spotted the Pixel 3a on the benchmarking site Geekbench. The listing on the website reveals many rumors that we have written about. As per the Geekbench listing, the upcoming Pixel 3a will ship with the latest Android 9 Pie which is expected from a device made by Google who happens to be the Android developer. It is also listed to be powered by a Qualcomm processor (its exact identity remains unknown) clubbed with 4GB RAM.
Google Pixel 3a: Expected Price
The Pixel 3a is rumored to be priced at 649 CAD (around Rs. 33,450) while the larger model Pixel 3a XL will likely cost 799 CAD (around Rs. 41,400) for the option with 64GB of internal storage and this is in line with a previous report. Because this is a carrier pricing, the actual prices of these two smartphones might be different. Their launch event is just around the corner so there should be more details coming out soon. We will also keep you updated when the event goes live.
According to the listing, the Pixel 3a achieved a score of 1,625 and 5,206 points in the single and multi-core tests which is pretty much in the same level with most of the mid-range phones. The handset packs a 5.6-inch FHD+ panel with a 400 PPI pixel density. On the other handset, the Pixel 3a XL will most likely come with a larger 6.0-inch FHD+ screen which is still below standard for smartphones these days. The two handsets are said to run on the Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710 SoC. In terms of camera, the phones are likely to have the same 12MP rear shooter as found on the Pixel 3 and 3 XL with camera features like HDR+ and Night Sight.
The major difference when it comes to design is a single selfie camera and the slightly thick bezels (the Pixel 3 XL has two selfie cameras on the front. Unlike their Pixel 3 siblings, the two upcoming phones will still come with a headphone jack.
