Samsung just unveiled two new additions to the crowded Galaxy A series dubbed Galaxy A60 and Galaxy A40s in the Chinese market.

Samsung just announced two new additions to its already-crowded Galaxy A series in the Chinese market dubbed Galaxy A40s and Galaxy A60. The Galaxy A40s is said to be a re-branded model of the Galaxy M30 suggesting that Samsung will not bring the Galaxy M series to China. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A60 comes with the new hole-punched display that has already been featured on some of the high-end offerings from Samsung.
Galaxy A40s & Galaxy A60: Prices
The Galaxy A40s will be priced at RMB 1,499 (around Rs. 15,500) while the Galaxy A60 will set you back by RMB 1,999 (around Rs. 20,700). The official launch date of these two hasn’t been revealed yet.
Galaxy A40s: Specifications
The re-branded Galaxy M30 sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-U design. Powering the phone is a Samsung’s Exynos 7904 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It comes with a large 5,000mAh cell with support for 15W fast charging.
In terms of camera, the phone has a triple camera setup, including a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture, a secondary 5MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a third 5MP depth unit. Up front, there is a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calling.
Galaxy A60: Specifications
The handset sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD panel with Infinity-O design. With the small punch hole on top of the display, the phone gets an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 92 percent. Samsung also uses the new ScreenCast sound tech that can replace to speaker grille at the top. Similar to the LG G8 ThinQ, this new tech can utilize the entire screen as one large speaker.
On the rear, it also comes with a triple camera setup, comprising of a 32MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a secondary 8MP ultra-wide unit with f/2.2 aperture and a third 5MP depth unit. Under the camera module are a LED flash and a fingerprint scanner on the right side.
Powering the phone is a mid-range Snapdragon 675 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage. Lastly, it packs a decent 3,500mAh cell with support for 15W fast charging support and a USB-C port.
