The Rs 10,000 – 20,000 is the go-to price range in India when people want a handset that does its job but doesn’t put a strain on the budget.
However, for value for money, people should look at the Rs 20,000-30,000, especially this year when there are plenty of options to choose from.
Here we would like to compare and contrast the Poco X3, OnePlus Nord, and Pixel 4a so that if you are considering an upgrade, you can make a more informed decision.
Design
Size-wise, Pixel 4a is the smallest of the three, making it the easiest to hold in your hand while the Poco X3 features a sizable screen. OnePlus Nord’s size stands between the two.

With a 6.67-inch screen, Poco X3 is a sizable handset that users have to use both hands if they want to reach everywhere. The size is complemented by the colorful and bright LCD screen.
The fingerprint scanner is on top of the power button on the right side of the phone so right-handed people may need to spend some time adjusting their grip.
OnePlus Nord still has a large size but compared to the Poco X3, it is more comfortable in your hand. The glass back of the Nord looks, and feels, more premium than the plastic rear on the X3. However, if you desire a one-handed phone, your best bet is the Pixel 4a.

The under-display fingerprint sensor on the Nord is quick and reliable but can’t compare to the speed of a physical sensor.
Pixel 4a still sports a plastic finish but the compact size makes it the ideal choice for those who want a handset that fits snugly into their palms. Users of the Pixel phone can benefit from the lighting-fast rear fingerprint sensor of the phone and Google’s dual stereo speakers.
Screen And Performance
Poco X3’s refresh rate and size look impressive on papers, but in reality, OnePlus Nord is the one with a better screen. Its 90Hz refresh rate, responsiveness, and color accuracy is among the best in this price bracket.

Users may experience delays with the 120Hz screen of the X3 so if you absolutely want a smooth display and the best contrast possible, OnePlus Nord is a better choice.
The OLED screen on the Pixel 4a features 443 pixels per inch, the highest pixel density among the three. While with day-to-day tasks, the advantage doesn’t make much of a difference but when you stream videos, it becomes evident.
OnePlus Nord features two selfie cameras housed in the capsule-shaped module in the front, the Poco X3 has only one inside the hole punch at the top-center of the screen, while on the Pixel 4a, the camera is at the top-right corner.

All of the three phones’ CPUs make no difference in day-to-day use as all of them allow users to browse the Internet, multitasking, and stream videos with ease.
However, if you go for numbers, OnePlus Nord’s Snapdragon 765G processor is the one for you.
Battery
If you want maximum use time between charges, Poco X3 is the ideal choice. In India, the phone is shipped with a mammoth 6,000mAh battery. The handset is also compatible with the 33W fast charger so if want a phone that lasts to the second day even under heavy use, the X3 is the one for you.

OnePlus phone, while featuring a smaller battery, can still last for a day. A perk when using the phone is the company’s 30W Dash fast charging tech.
The size of the Pixel 4a means it packs a small power cell. While Google has optimized the software to minimize battery drain, you still need to be careful with what kind of tasks you demand from it.
Camera
When it comes to camera tech, Google is on top of the chart. Pixel 4a shares the Sony IMX363 sensor with the Pixel 3, which delivers excellent portrait shots and detailed photos in daylight.
The phone’s digital zoom is impressive and the Night Sight Mode allows for great low-light shots. Overall, the shots are pleasant and punchy with the Pixel 4a.
OnePlus Nord is a decent phone but its cameras aren’t exactly the best. In good lighting, the photo quality is acceptable but that is it. The wide-angle camera is suitable for buildings and landscapes but expect noise and distortion to creep in. The macro camera is nothing to write home about.

The phone has the Night Mode but you need to keep your hands very steady if you want decent shots out of it. The selfie camera is no better – it yields washed out and dull photos.
Poco X3, despite the price, delivers surprisingly good shots. It takes vibrant photos in most lighting conditions. However, beware of the purple fringing when shooting scenes with high contrast.
The X3’s wide-angle camera delivers acceptable landscape shots and the 20MP front camera offers good-looking selfies as long as you keep the beautification feature off.
You might want to stay away from the 2MP macro camera as it gives you muddy shots most of the time.
