The Realme Narzo 20 Pro comes with several interesting specs and it is also the first phone in the Narzo product line to feature the ‘Pro’ moniker. The Narzo 20 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 14,999 and it is nearly impossible to find other phones with such specs in the segment. So let’s see how the device performs in real-world conditions and whether it is worth paying for in the Realme Narzo 20 Pro review below.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review
Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review: Design
The Narzo 20 Pro has a very similar design to the Realme 7 and that also happens with the Narzo 20 and Realme C15. However, the brand uses a different pattern at the back panel of the 20 Pro and offers different color variants. On the front, the device rocks a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole at the top left corner for a selfie camera. I am not really a fan of the punch-hole design because it is pretty distracting when playing games or watching movies. However, that is only my preference and not everyone hates it.

Similar to the Realme 7, this phone is also equipped with a fingerprint reader on the side for biometrics security. It is pretty easy to unlock the phone with either hand. In addition, Realme also moves the volume rocker to the other side, which is even more comfortable to use.

You will also see a quad-camera lens setup at the back of the Narzo 20 Pro, which is pretty common these days. The camera placement looks the same as that of the Realme 7, but the specs of the setup are different and we will go into more details in another section. The rear panel features a V-shaped pattern that will shine when light bounces off it at some angles. In addition, even though the glossy back looks great on this phone, it picks up fingerprints and smudges pretty easily. You can avoid that using the case included in the box.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review: Performance
The Realme Narzo 20 Pro specs include Helio G85 chipset, Mali-G76 MC4 GPU, 6/8GB of RAM, and 64/128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. I didn’t have any complaints in the performance department during my time with the phone. It loaded apps pretty quickly and I didn’t see any lag when switching between apps. Face Unlock and fingerprint reader unlocked the phone very quickly and reliably. Overall, it is great for regular users.

Moving to gaming performance, it still did a great job and didn’t disappoint me at all. I tested the device with Call of Duty Mobile. When I opened the game, it automatically set at medium graphics settings. I saw no stutter while playing the game at those settings. I played the game for around 20 minutes, which resulted in a 7 percent drop in battery life. The phone also got a bit warm after gaming for a while.

Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review: Battery life
The Narzo 20 Pro delivered a wonderful battery life. I could use the phone for around a day and a half easily. Even for heavy usage, you can still carry the phone around for a full day without having to charge it. In the HD video loop test, it managed to last 20 hours and 10 minutes, which is great. What makes it even greater is that massive 65W SuperDart charging technology. You will get 50 percent of the battery back in just 15 minutes or you can wait around 40 minutes to get the phone fully charged. This charging speed is amazing, even in comparison to flagship devices.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review: Cameras
The Narzo 20 Pro is equipped with a quad-camera lens setup at the back, including a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 2MP B&W portrait shooter, and a 2MP macro unit. I’m pretty happy with the camera app on this phone because it is pretty easy to use and I can quickly access my commonly-used camera modes by swiping on the main screen. There are additional shooting modes that are hidden in the sub-menu.
The handset captures 12MP photos by default and the results have pretty good dynamic range. The AI can set the camera up accordingly to where it pointed towards. The wide-angle shooter offers lower-resolution photos, so you will notice a significant drop in quality and barrel distortion around the edges. There is also an option for you to take photos at 48MP resolution, but I don’t really like the outcomes and notice a watercolor effect when zooming these pictures.
Just like other phones in the segment, the Narzo 20 Pro doesn’t perform well in low-light conditions as the photos look pretty flat. Even when I used the dedicated Night mode, the results only got slightly brighter with higher details, but in return, I had to wait three seconds for one shot.
Moving to the wide-angle camera, it doesn’t capture as much light as the main camera in low-light conditions. Yes, it delivers a wider viewing angle but misses much more details. You can also use Night mode for the wide-angle camera, but you won’t see a significant improvement.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro Review: Verdict
The Narzo 20 Pro comes with a powerful hardware configuration and a great pick for gamers. The Helio G95 chipset is capable of running heavy games and apps with ease and the massive battery also makes sure the phone doesn’t run out of juice quickly. On top of that, it rapidly recharges thanks to the impressive 65W fast charging technology, especially if you are a person who travels a lot. However, don’t get this phone for photography as its low-light capabilities need some work. At the moment, the Realme Narzo 20 Pro price in India is Rs. 13,990 for the 6GB + 64GB model and Rs. 16,990 for the 8GB + 128GB model.
