XDA-Developers has reported that code found in the latest build of Android 9 Pie used on the Galaxy Note 9 suggests that Samsung is working on Bright Night, a new photography feature. Accordingly, users can take bright photos even when they are in extremely dark conditions with this feature.

It remains unclear how Samsung will shape up this feature. However, based on what’s available, Bright Night appears to be Samsung’s response to the Night Sight from Google and the Night Mode from Huawei. These previously released features have succeeded in generating low-light photos with considerably higher quality. The Night Sight mode, which features on the Pixel 3, captures multiple shots at one click, combine them and produce a better photo. Samsung’s coming Bright Night probably will apply the same method.

Although there have not been any official announcements from the giant Korean phone maker, Bright Night may be included in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10, whose launch in February 2019 has excited us for months.

It is also rumored that Samsung’s next phone will be dedicated to photography lovers. Earlier this year, a report revealed that there’ll probably be six lenses on the S10, which is an extension from the quad camera setup on the Galaxy A9.

The Galaxy S10 is expected to come with three variants called Galaxy S10 Lite, S10 and S10 Plus. The phones will feature different screen sizes of 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches, and 6.4 inches respectively. In addition, all the variants will have a display resolution of 2K+. The Samsung Galaxy S10 is likely to have both a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type C port. And the phone will also support the fifth-generation network (5G).
