YouTube is suffering a lot of criticism after it removed and posted a video about the Christmas holiday of a domino artist but didn't pay her credit.
The domino artist in this incident named Lily Hevesh has posted this story on her personal Twitter to show the disappointment. She was delighted that everyone was watching and liked her electronic domino Christmas card. But she was also disappointed because YouTube took her video and republished it without paying her anything.
In the re-posted video, Hevesh's introduction was cut off and left without any introductory information about the owner of the video. The opening video of Hevesh's video aims to attract more viewers to subscribe to her YouTube channel. Lily uses this video sharing platform to bring her works closer to people.
Lily Hevesh uploaded the epic domino video on December 23 on her YouTube channel and achieved only about 60,000 views. Later, according to The Verge's report on Wednesday, the upgraded version of the re-appealed video to 250,000 views.
After Hevesh posted her problem and upset on Twitter, a wave of criticism turned to YouTube. And finally, the company said it was their fault when they forgot to record @Hevesh5 for the video. YouTube has also corrected the mistake and recorded the contributors who made the domino video for this Christmas day.
