Xiao just announced to launch its three new smart TVs in the India market after launching a range of TVs in India in February.
PatchWall
Like the range of TVs launched earlier in the year, the Mi LED TVs runs on PatchWall – smart TV OS created by Xiaomi and it is customized for the Indian market. As guaranteed by Xiao, the total content watch time will be increased to over 700,000 hours across 15 languages of India, in addition to “personalized recommendations with a clean UI.”
Nonetheless, Xiaomi’s smart TV OS - PatchWall will be built with Android TV (Android 8.1 Oreo) with built-in services of Google TV and its PlayStore. This will give you access to more than 3600 games and apps which all are compatible with your TVs. Chromecast is also built in the OS so you can use it to stream the content out of your smartphone to the TVs, alongside with Google Voice Search. And these new Mi TVs will work nicely with set-top boxes for the majority of Indian service providers.
This time around, more content partners will come along with the fact that Amazon Prime Video is going to make it to the fold.
Three variants
The new introduced Mi TV has three variants which are mostly differences in resolution - powered by the identical Amlogic 64-bit quad-core chipset and size as well. The three new TVs are the Mi LED TV 4C Pro (32-inch, 720p HD Ready), the Mi LED TV 4A Pro (49-inch, 1080p Full HD + HDR) and the Mi LED TV 4 Pro (55-inch, 4K + HDR).
All the variants consist of 2 USB ports and 3 HDMI ports and also come with a new 12-button remote with Bluetooth which includes an extra button for voice search.
Pricing and Availability
Despite that fact that it is not easy to get Mi TVs, Xiaomi has managed to sell over 500,000 units in just six months in the India market and become the top-selling brand of smart TV in India.
The prices for the lowest 32-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch variants stay at 14,999, 29,999 and 49m999 rupees respectively. Please note that these prices are just for the launching phase and will subject to be changed at the end of India’s festive season.
