If you’re a Tata Sky Broadband, the good news for you is that the internet provider will soon launch a free landline service, according to a poster on its website. This move will help the company better compete with Airtel and Jio Fiber which already offer landline facilities with their broadband services. It seems customers of unlimited broadband plans will get unlimited voice calling, the plan currently costs a monthly amount of Rs 900.

Tata Sky has teased the landline service online but didn’t reveal further details. All we can see from the image is a tagline saying “Stream Unlimted. Call Unlimited.” The tagline suggests unlimited voice calls with the new landline service. In addition, the company mentioned that the new service is coming soon but didn’t say what date exactly.
The internet service provider offers three unlimited broadband monthly plans, starting from Rs 900 to Rs 1,100 with internet speeds of up to 100Mbps. Customers can also choose from other plans including 3, 6, and 12 months if they want to get extra benefits by paying on a longer-term.

Tata Sky is not the first provider to offer broadband users a free landline service. Jio Fiber and Airtel already have free landline services, but this move will help the company attract new customers as it has been facing tough competition from other firms for a while now.
In separated news, amid the ongoing pandemic, internet service providers in India are giving extra data to present limited plans. This move from companies helps people who are working from home, especially during the India lockdown that forces everyone to stay inside.
