Han Jong-hee has been also known as the President of Samsung Electronics. He reveals that his company is aiming to hold a firm slot as a top leader in the global TV market thanks to its modern QLED TVs.

The first time the company launched 8K QLED TVs was 2018. Until now, many next-generation products have been available in the market. As reported by the news agency Yonhap on September 08, Samsung has introduced a series of QLED TV products from the 55-inch model to the 98-inch model in a bid to satisfy the diverse demands from its customers.

When it comes to the term ‘QLED’, Samsung refers to it as a marketing term that is used for LCD TV products developed based on quantum dot technology. This kind of advanced tech allows designers to improve TVs’ performance in major picture quality areas, marking the outstanding advantage over the OLED TVs from LG.

In a recent talk with reporters at IFA 2019, Berlin, Han shared the company’s ambition in the upcoming time:

The company is reportedly boosting tech development in micro-LED TV product lineups.

The term ‘8K’ denotes the highest-resolution standard to create vivid content on screen. The number of pixels on 8K TVs is 04 times as much as that on 4K TVs and up to 16 times as much as that on FHD TVs.

In addition, Samsung also announced its plan to boost tech development in micro-LED TV product lineups to manufacture more compact screens than its existing products. And the more modern technology will be a required condition for the company to turn its ideas into reality.

Back to February, it launched a huge 219-inch TV called ‘The Wall Professional’ to attack the commercial display market and in August, the company first introduced The Wall Luxury – a 146-inch TV as a promising strategy to attract customers with a luxury home cinema.

The Samsung Electronics President said, “We plan to launch (a 75-inch micro LED TV) next year. You’ll see.”

The IHS Market reported that Samsung’s TV market share reached 31.5% in the Quarter 2 2019, which was determined as the highest value in more than six recent years.
