Rumors have been circulating on the internet for months, but Samsung has finally confirmed the official date of the next Galaxy Unpacked event: August 5. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this time, the Korean giant will hold the event virtually, meaning anyone can watch the event online.
The last Unpacked event took place in February this year when Samsung unveiled its second foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip. The device looked cool and fun, it sold quite well too.

However, rumors say that the tech giant will release even more smartphones within 2020, which include the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Fold 2. The Galaxy Note 20 series will come with huge screens and styluses, which is a tradition for Samsung’s Note smartphones. Besides, the Note 20 devices are rumored to have more new features such as a 120Hz refresh rate along with updated cameras.

The most exciting part of the upcoming Unpacked event is probably the Galaxy Fold 2. After the first-gen Galaxy Fold, it’s interesting to see how Samsung learns from its mistakes. It’s likely that the next Fold device will be very big, but the most anticipated part is the display technology and how it will be different from the original Fold.
At the August 5 Unpacked event, the Korean firm will also unveil an updated smartwatch alongside a new tablet.
