Reliance Industries To Double The Salary Of Employees Earning Under ₹30,000

Reliance Industries have announced some measures it will take to ease the effect of the CO.VID-19 outbreak. One of their policies is to double the monthly salary of those earning below ₹30,000 each month.
Even when work is halted, the company will still pay its temporary and contract workers. Reliance Industries also encourages its employees to work from home except for those in charge of important roles in maintaining the Reliance Jio network.
The corporation has other relief plans to help the government containing the spread of the pandemic. Reliance Foundation Hospital and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation have set up a center dedicated to treating COVID-19 with all the needed equipment and 100 beds at Mumbai-based Seven Hills Hospital.
The company has also pledged ₹5 crores for Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Another policy is free fuel for vehicles used for emergency service to transport COVID-19 patients, per lists provided by government agencies. Patients suffering from the disease, as per lists provided by the government are also legible to receive this benefit.
During the 21-day complete lockdown, Reliance Retail stores will remain open to ensure a constant flow of essential supplies, including bread, vegetables, and breakfast cereals.
Reliance Industries owns over 700 grocery stores across India.
The company said that it has deployed the joint strength of Reliance Retail, Reliance Industries, Reliance Foundation, Reliance Jio, Reliance Life Sciences, as well as 6,00,000 employees working for Reliance Family to help fight off the Coronavirus.
