Xiaomi is increasing the number of devices that support XiaoAI voice assistant
Initially, GizmoChina discovered the information while it was suggesting that the company was currently occupying a strong position China's technology market.
Xiaomi launched its voice assistant side by side with the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s in April 2018, this helped it increase the number of devices that use smart voice assistant to 100 million within a year. Xiaomi has deeply integrated smart personal assistant into various of the company's main smart devices, which has largely contributed to the growth. Another possible cause of the recent development of XiaoAI is that the intelligent voice assistants of other rival companies like Siri of Apple, Google Assistant, and Alexa of Amazon do not support Chinese.
The report also points out that there are significant similarities between Google Assistant and XiaoAI. The similarity between the pair has even shown on UI, where users see colorful bars when they interact with the digital assistant. In addition, Xiaomi's voice assistant is capable of doing almost all tasks like Google Assistant.
XiaoAI is said to have similar capabilities and features as Google Assistant
The report also illustrates a few numbers relating to XiaoAI users, including how many alarm clocks, household chores, or how many hours the assistant play music within 24 hours in Taiwan. Collected data shows that there are up to 853,000 users ask XiaoAI to wake them up every day, support 800,000 household chores and play music for up to 1,354,221 hours. This data shows that many people use XiaoAI's support in their daily activities in Taiwan.
