If you’re sharing a Netflix plans with friends, there may be one thing bugging you that you can’t stop the others from going into your profile and see what you’re watching. Sure, there’s nothing secret you can hide there, but this is certainly not comfortable for everyone.
However small the inconvenience is, the popular streaming platform has provided a solution for you. You can now set a PIN to lock your profile on Netflix. The feature was rolled out under a bigger update that focuses on improving parental control.

The update also includes the following features:
- Filtering titles based on each country’s maturity rating.
- Disabling auto-play for kid profiles.
- Blocking certain titles.
These seem small features but can come very handy when people are spending a lot of time at home with their kids. They can let the kids watch some Netflix in exchange for privacy and quietness to work, and the new features will help make sure nothing gets out of control when the kids sit by themselves.

As the CO.VID-19 pandemic is growing fast around the world, many people are spending much more time at home, hence streaming services are running for heavier loads than usual. Due to this, last month, Netflix decided to lower video quality for users so that everyone can still stream films and shows. Meanwhile, YouTube also lowered default video quality, the move started in Europe but was then expanded to the entire world following the widespread of the pandemic.
