The Chinese phone maker Lenovo has taken one step closer into the club of gaming smartphone manufacturers as it already introduced a sub-brand for its gaming phones, dubbed “Legion.” As reported, a Weibo account has been set up to tie in with its Legion brand.

According to some rumors flying around on GizmoChina, Lenovo has started working on a gaming-focused phone for time. Although there’s no word on a date for the announcement, this information’s likely to come soon. The Weibo account of Legion has been verified while there’s also a fiery logo as its profile picture. The account’s description says it’s under the ownership of Lenovo Mobile. However, it has yet to reveal any information regarding the phone but has posted a number of King of Glory gameplay videos on the timeline.

A post published on Dec 24 displays four waterdrop-notch smartphones it’s not evident to confirm they’re Lenovo smartphones or Legion-branded gaming phones. Additionally, it’s unclear whether the Legion gaming smartphone will come packed with a Snapdragon 765G or a Snapdragon 865. Maybe all we need to do is to wait for Lenovo giving more information or officially announcing the existence of its gaming phone.

This move seems to follow another competitor in the industry – ASUS, which launched the sub-brand ROG phones for gaming. As such, Lenovo-owned Legion phones will have to face stiff competition with a bunch of well-known rivals in the market, including Razer, Nubia Red Magic, Black Shark, and Asus ROG. To remind, most of them are running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipsets.
