When being contacted by Business Insider, both Google and iHandy refused to comment. A spokesperson of Google didn’t answer a question from BuzzFeed regarding the reason why these apps were taken down but confirmed that an investigation into this matter had been launched.

When BuzzFeed published its report, only 8 applications remained on the Google Play Store. But up until now, more apps have disappeared as there are only 5 left.

On its website, iHandy writes that it is a partner of Apple, Facebook, and Google.
At the moment, there are around 12 applications of iHandy on the Apple App Store. It remains unknown whether Apple will take the same measure regarding this developer’s applications.
