Google has achieved a new milestone in the total downloads of one of its applications on Google Play.
In particular, the app launched by Google allowing users to chat through video, Duo, is reported to have had over one billion downloads on Android Google Play so far, which is an impressive achievement.

It is known that Duo was first introduced by Google two years ago on the same occasion with the launch of Google Allo, a Google’s application used for chatting and receiving messages, which attracted great attention of tech community.
According to a report of a technology website namely Android Police which was released on December 22, 2018, it only took 6 months for Duo app to have half of billion people download this app for video chat on Google Play. And hitting the mark of 1 billion downloads in the remaining time is a very incredible thing.

In 2018, Google has expanded Google Duo to more devices such as tablets running the Android operating system, iPad, Smart Displays and Chromebook.
Previously, this tech giant made an announcement that it would stop the operation of its application for messaging named Allo starting from March 2019. According to the explanation of Google, this move comes from the intention that the company wants to pay more attention to the development and improvement of the Duo application.
For further information, Google’s Allo, like other applications from its rivals such as WhatsApp and iMessage of Apple, is an app that allows users to send and receive messages on their smart devices. This app supports devices that run on one of the two main operating systems in the world today, iOS and Android. It is also available on desktop browsers like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Opera.
