Don’t Want To Have The Same Destiny As Huawei, SamSung Renews Android License

The South Korean company Samsung clearly wants to continue its smooth partnership with Google, especially after Huawei has recently faced a series of attacks due to the US ban.

After the US government released a ban on Huawei, the Chinese tech company isn’t allowed to leverage Android’s licensed version on its new devices. It has no other choice but looking for alternatives that help its products keep operating without the mobile operating system from Google.

Samsung-Android
In February, Samsung made the deal to continue using Android OS on its upcoming products.

What Huawei has faced in recent days makes many global tech companies worried about their own future. Of course, none of these companies wants to have the same destiny as Huawei. That’s why the South Korean company Samsung has just decided to renew its Android License.

The Bell from Korea revealed that Samsung made the deal in February, which allows the company to use Android OS on its upcoming products.

All of the device manufacturers want to install Android’s licensed version on their tablets and smartphones must comply with the Mobile Application Distribution Agreements (MADA). In addition, Google also sets up a lot of guidelines for each of these companies.

Of course, none of these companies wants to have the same destiny as Huawei.

When being asked for why it decided to renew the Android License, Samsung explained that it aimed at “stable collaboration”. However, the company hasn’t revealed any specific details about the agreement. It clearly wants to continue its smooth partnership with Google, especially after Huawei has recently faced a series of attacks due to the US ban.

The biggest smartphone manufacturer Samsung has made a big effort on delivering Android’s latest version to its products. However, it sometimes has to wait for a long time to have its smartphones installed new Android releases. For instance, Android Pie just came to Galaxy flagships at the end of 2018 after Google originally rolled out the updated OS version that summer.

The new Android version will probably be available this summer, and users also hope that they will soon experience it on their own Samsung devices.
