Apple has been trying to support its users with many useful features on its Maps service for years. Google Maps still is the best free map service in India that none of the other services like Nokia’s Here and Apple Maps can compete to. It gains massive popularity in user community due to various reasons, which considered as easy-to-use. Meanwhile, Apple Maps are limited and supports only iOS customers. However, the latest update of Apple Maps will bring an opportunity.
Recently Apple has brought the turn-by-turn direction to Maps service in India. The feature is highly anticipated that users now can get direct navigation in some major cities. As users input a place on the map, Maps will point out the directions then navigate to it. Users can easily discover the routes in their neighborhoods while walking or driving. They can switch among those modes for suitable navigation.
Similar to Google service, users will get started by tapping on the search bar and choose Directions in Apple Maps. It will show an ETA from their present location and suggest its navigational options such as Walk, Ride, Drive, and Transport modes. In the Walk mode and Drive mode, it provides users turn-by-turn navigation.
Apple platform will also release a card that states all the ETA details. Furthermore, it built a guidance system that users could adjust the volume or mute the voice as well. One thing making Apple Maps lost to Google service is that it does not provide information about nearby places such as restaurants, gas stations, and others more.
Now with the new feature, customers using Apple devices can have another choice instead of Google Maps. The fact is that the service is still in needs of improving to catch up with Google Maps. On the other hand, users will be pleased with their privacy protection, thanks to the company’s data safety priority.
