Maharashtra Man Bought A Phone On A E-Commerce Site, Received Brick Instead

An Indian man ordered a mobile phone in a e-commerce site but got brick instead of a phone.

Shopping online has its own advantages like convenience and discounts. But it also comes with many problems as well, something that a smartphone buyer in Aurangabad recently found. Ordering a mobile phone online and getting something else delivered is a common phenomenon these days. Incidents like this keep happening in Indian or anywhere else in the world. Now, there is a case of Aurangabad-based buyer who just ordered a mobile phone from one of the biggest e-commerce companies but got a brick in return.
Gajanan Kharat, who was living in Aurangabad, was pretty shocked when he was delivered a packet containing his mobile phone he had ordered from one of the biggest e-commerce companies. The man was expected a mobile phone included in the packet but the only thing he got was a brick.
According to him, he had ordered a mobile phone that cost him Rs 9,134 on October 9. After that, he was notified through a message by the e-commerce site saying that his order would be shipped within a week.

On last Sunday, the packet was delivered to him as expected. However, there was only a brick inside the packet instead of the phone he had ordered.

After that, he called up the delivery man who did nothing but said that his responsibility was delivering the packet, not checking what was included in the packet.
He then filed a complaint against that e-commerce site at the police station in Harsul on Tuesday. The police officer said that the case has been registered under IPC sections relating to cheating and they are probing it.
As said, this is a common case when buying things online. Another incident happened to a man in Delhi in which he purchased a OnePlus phone from Amazon and what he got from the delivery man was only three soap packs.
