Facebook is trying hard to stand in the video monetization market. You all know about Youtube; it is the first platform where people can make money from their videos. In this line, Facebook is continuously competing with Youtube. Now, here comes the biggest social networking company with video monetization opportunity.
Through this feature, the social giant wants to attract video creators to its platform and give them a chance to make more money with Facebook. Along with video monetization, Facebook had also launched 'Brand Collabs Manager' platforms for brands, by which brands can collaborate with video creators.
Two ways to earn money as a creator
There are many ways to earn money from Facebook, but here, we talk about the two most popular ways through which you can easily make money on the platform. These ways are "Subscriptions" and "Advertising" (Video Monetization).
Fidji Simo, Facebook's product Vice-President, said in the statement that creators with niche content or larger fan bases could earn money directly through subscription. And creators, who have large video content (More than three minutes) can make money through Video Monetization, or simply speaking, you can make money through advertising.
Facebook has also launched a new feature that allows fans to support their favorite creator by paying some amount of money (Rs 344 per month) for the subscription like youtube's "Join" service. In exchange, subscribers get exclusive videos and special services, and they also get a badge, which indicates that you are a supporter of a specific creator.

And the second way is Video Monetization. As mentioned above, creators who make large videos can easily earn money through advertising, but it is not for everyone. For Video Monetisation, you need to follow some community standards of Facebook like making authentic content and also meeting the minimum eligibility criteria including - 1000 followers and others. Through Video Monetization, Facebook puts ads on your content, and you get money for each ad based on the number of times the ads have been displayed on your content, the number of times users clicked on those ads, and many other factors.
