Google Assistant, the renowned digital assistant developed by Google, recently got a batch of new updates that are meant to level up user experiences. One of the most eye-catching features is the capability of reading out any text-based content irrespective of its length.

For those who have yet to try this, the company said it’s made available to all users, so the process of creating a makeshift podcast from your current long read. Here’re some easy steps that won’t take you too much time to have it done.
Step 1: Find Google Assistant on your smartphone. You can take a visit to the Google Play Store and download Assistant if you haven’t got it yet.
Step 2: Copy a link you want to read out and open it in the Google Chrome browser.
Step 3: It’s time to summon your own digital assistant – release the voice command “Hey Google.”
Step 4: Once the prompt appears at the bottom edge, let say “Read it” or “Read this page.”
Step 5: The Google Assistant then receives your order and convert your favorite long-form paragraph into the likes of a podcast.
Currently, the read-out feature boasts a dedicated library of 42 languages, not to mention the ability to pair with Google Translate for input adjustment. In addition, you can also play around with different features, including fast-forward, rewind, and so on.

The final interesting one: You’re allowed to exit the browser and the Assistant still works in the background. If the feature doesn’t work for you, it’s worth noting that you should give another try by reloading the page and repeating said steps.
