Oppo Smartwatch 2020 Design and Display
Oppo Smartwatch vs Apple Watch? In terms of design, the smartwatch from Oppo does look a bit like the one from Apple. The similarities can be found in the body, the fascia, and the straps. In the consumer tech space, it isn’t something strange when you find a product looking similar to one from Apple.
Here, the Oppo watch is looking almost as strong and sleek as Apple’s wearable. All the curves connect seamlessly. The device doesn’t seem fragile at all. There are two sizes to choose from, a smaller 41mm one and a bigger 46mm one.
The frame is made using series-6000 aluminum and can handle relatively carefree use. Besides the Black variant, there is a Glossy Gold one. With the 41mm version, you also have the Silver Mist option.
People who have skinnier wrists usually don’t want a watch that looks too big. However, the smartwatch from Oppo is a rare exception. Its 1.91-inch display curves on the sides, resulting in the smartwatch looking a bit smaller.
The Fluororubber band also has enough holes for all wrist sizes. It is really similar to the silicone strap of Apple Watch but with a little bit more rigidity. The hardness makes it a bit difficult to put the strap on, especially when you want to go the holes that are closer to the chassis.
If you like curved smartphones, you will also love a curved watch. First of all, it does look undeniably cooler. That is an important aspect since watches also work as fashion accessories.
Secondly, the design makes every interaction smoother and more enjoyable.
For an operating system primarily depending on swipes, it’s possible that there is no other smartwatch that is as well-designed as the one from Oppo. And then you also have a higher screen-to-body ratio and improved visual experience.
The smartwatch is 5ATM water-resistant as well. So it is safe to use up to 50 meters underwater. The certification doesn’t work with saltwater.
On the left side is the loudspeaker while on the right are two pushers for navigation and functions. On the bottom, the button has a subtle green accent.
The resolution of the display is 402 x 476, one of the highest. Icons and texts are adequately clear and sharp. At standard viewing distances, you won’t see the individual pixels.
The AMOLED construction adds another immersive level with the sides fading away in the frame. Colors are punchy and vibrant.
To change the smartwatch’s brightness, there are five stages to choose from.
Oppo smartwatch price in India 2020 is Rs 14,990 for the 41mm variant. The price increases to Rs 19,990 for the bigger version.
