Acer Unveils New Spin 3 Notebooks And Aspire Series: Specs, Price

The new Aspire series in 2019 and Spin 3 Notebooks will run Window 10 at launch and be powered by up to eighth-generation Intel Core i7 chipset.

In addition to TravelMate Notebook and gaming laptop, Acer has upgraded the Spin Notebook and Aspire series as well. It launched a newly-updated Spin 3 laptop version, Aspire 3, Aspire 5 and Aspire 7 at an event taking place in New York.  They are all generic devices that are said to cover many different consumer needs types. Acer has equipped its new models in the Aspire series with eighth-generation Intel-made Core i7 chipset, display of up to 17 inches with thin bezels, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX. Meanwhile, the Spin 3 Notebook is considered as a new changeable device from the company powered by eighth-generation Intel chipset, supporting Active Pen of Acer, and having 360-degree durable hinges.

Spin 3 Notebooks, Acer Aspire Series: Availability, Price

While the Aspire 3 and Aspire 5 will cost US$349 and US$379 respectively, the Aspire 7 has a starting price of US$999 in the U.S. Meanwhile, the Spin 3 Notebook starts at US$499. The devices will be available for sales in India from June, but the entry-level Aspire 3 that will make its debut in May. So far, there has been no certain announcement about the availability of these devices in India, but the company will apply different pricings depending on the region.

Aspire 7

Regarding the Aspire lineup, the flagship Aspire 7 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with Color intelligence support for finer details and intense shades. Additionally, the eighth-generation Intel Core i7 chipset comes with new NVIDIA GeForce GPU, and up to 16GB DDR4 storage + 1TB PCle NVMe SSD. Also, the device has TrueHarmony technology of Acer which can deliver powerful volume and deeper bass. Other noticeable features comprise of a fingerprint scanner, Windows 10, and some connectivity options like USB 3.1, HDMI ports, and Wifi.

Meanwhile, the Aspire 5 also has a 15.6-inch display and is powered by the same chipset like the Aspire 7, but it comes with second-generation AMD Ryzen Mobile chipset with Radeon RX 540 and Radeon Vega graphics or NVIDIA GeForce MX250 GPU. Also, the device has an optional fingerprint sensor, supports TrueHarmony technology, and Color intelligence, which is identical to the Aspire 7. The affordable Aspire 3 features almost specifications like the Aspire 5, however, it ships with 3 Full HD display sizes including 17.3-inch, 15.6-inch, and 14-inch. Particularly, the variant with 17-inch display has a DVD drive. It also comes with BlueLightShield tech developed by Acer to help protect users’ eyes and Precision TouchPad.

The Spin 3 Notebook now become more reliable and stylish for young professionals when traveling, according to Acer. The device is powered by the eighth-generation Intel Core i7 chipset, paired with NVIDIA GeForce MX230 GPU as well as up to 512GB PCIe SSD. It sports a 14-inch touchscreen display with Full HD resolution, 360-degree long-lasting hinges, and thin bezels. In addition, it supports Acer Active Pen that is able to be recharged and has a Gigabit dual-band Wifi and 1TB HDD. Lastly, the device can operate up to 12 hours on only one charge.
