Last year, Acer launched its ridiculous gaming chair called Predator Thronos and many people said the chair should have been smaller if it wanted to fit into homes. So this year, Acer comes back with the Predator Thronos Air, which is 25 percent lighter and smaller than last year model, long with an additional massage feature. According to an Acer representative, this chair is something people are buy and install in their houses.
But if you look at it, you may not think it’s accessible, at all. And it’s questionable why the company even make a successor of something so bulky that the majority of gamers won’t want to buy. But Acer thinks that it’s about taking feedback from users can create a chair which was not just a concept.
If you visit the product page of the original Thronos, you will find information about the chair. It needs and area of 2.4x2.4x2.4 meters, a floor capable of supporting over 324 kilograms, and you have to install it on a house’s ground floor or a similar environment.
The Thronos Air was designed to lower some requirements while maintaining the original version’s decadent indulgence. Acer said that the Thronos Air is made of lighter materials, resulting 25 percent reduction in weight. And there is now a massage cushion so you can spend hours gaming without getting paralyzed.
At the price of Rs 1 crore, this chair is much cheaper than the original version, but still has three monitors along with an adjustable keyboard and mouse tray, as well as a footrest. In addition, you can add an optional cup holder, hubs and cameras for an extra cost.
