This Rs 19 Lakh 3-Wheeled Solar-Powered EV Never Needs Charging

What if there was an electric vehicle that was powered by solar energy and all you would have to do is to drive it under the sun?

Well, that is exactly what Aptera Motors, a startup from southern California is doing with its high-efficiency electric vehicle. The car actually, sold out in just 24 hours.

The vehicle called Paradigm has a futuristic structure. It is built with lightweight materials for low-drag cooling and aerodynamics. On the website, you can find a description of the benefits of the car.

Aptera delivers a technology called Never Charge which comprises a solar package integrated into the car. The package proved over 64km of free driving every day. So Aptera’s electric vehicle is going to be the first vehicle that doesn’t need to be charged for daily driving.

There is an option for consumers to put on the hood and hatch of the car a few more panels, adding up to 38 additional km of range.

The vehicle also has a battery pack providing a range of 1609km, greatly surpassing the 595 km of range of the Model S from Tesla.

There is an outlet of 110V for manual charging. The car can be charged via a standard wall socket.

Steve Fambro, Aptera co-founder said that while 64km did not sound a lot but it was actually equivalent to you parking your car overnight and have two gallons of gas magically filled up. It seems like petrol cars are gradually turning into a thing of the past.
