PUBG has long been among the world’s most addictive and popular games among youngsters, those in India included. Apart from the concern over its effect on players, one of the most pressing issue for parents in India now is sometimes, the game can take a person’s life.
One of such heartbreaking incidents have just happened to a 16-year-old boy in Karungalpalayam, Tamil Nadu. The boy passed away on Tuesday evening while playing the massively popular PUBG.
The poor boy named Sathish Kumar and he attended a private polytechnic college in the area, majored in textile designing. He was in his second year when the incident happened.
His father said he usually play PUBG in his free time. The 16-year-old was on his phone playing the battle royale on Tuesday when he suddenly collapsed. His parents immediately rushed him to a state hospital but it was too late. By the time they reached there, Sathish was dead.
Some initial reports on the investigation into his death said he started playing since Monday morning throughout the day until he fell unconscious.
Ever since its Xbox One and PC version launched, PUBG’s popularity has increasing fast. But it was not until the mobile version introduced that the game became a real sensation among youngsters.
