Setting a new record in the premium smartphone range, the South Korean giant Samsung sold 1,600 units of Galaxy Fold within only 30 mins after pre-orders were available on Samsung’s online store on October 4, according to reliable sources.

Those who pre-ordered the device have already paid Rs. 1,64,999 before the launch, another first in the segment. Accordingly, they will receive the phones shipped to them via a concierge on 20 October alongside a dedicated expert available 24/7.
As per sources, the pre-order program for the foldable phone in the Indian market has now been closed since the first batch was limited to 1,600 devices.
And everyone purchasing the Galaxy Fold will receive the “Infinity Flex Display Protection” warranty for one year.
The phone has 12GB RAM coupled with 512GB storage.

In its regular form, the display measures at 4.6 inches, suitable for daily tasks. However, when unfolded, the cross-screen functionalities go seamless on a larger, immersive 7.3-inch form since the P-OLED screen can bend as a book.
Furthermore, each handset box will include an “Aramid Fiber” case which can handle pressure and a pair of Galaxy Buds.
As it is the world's first “Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display," the phone has six cameras, Snapdragon 855 SoC inside, One UI based on Android 9 Pie, and supports split-display multi-tasking.

In terms of cameras, the phone has up to 3 selfie shooters including a 10-megapixel sensor when the phone is folded and two selfie shooters including a 10-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel depth sensor when it is unfolded.
On the back, the foldable phone comes with a triple camera system comprising of a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor.
Samsung’s foldable phone is packed with a dual cell system (4,380 mAh typical dual cell). In addition, the handset can simultaneously charge itself and another device through “Wireless PowerShare."
