The iPhone X, as well as other Apple products, is always designed with high security. However, two hackers have detected a surprising flaw in this modern handset: deleted photos in recent days can be easily accessed if you know how to do.
That means you are not still safe even when removing all of your sensitive photos in the iPhone X.
Due to the flaw detection in the Mobile Pwn20wn contest, the two white hat hackers received a reward of about Rs 35 lakh ($50,000). Talking about the contest, it is an annual computer hacking contest in Tokyo.
These talented hackers are Richard Zhu and Amat Cam. After the competition, they notify Apple of this flaw; however, the fix will last at least a few days.
The flaw is detected in a JIT compiler (also known as a just-in-time compiler) of the iOS when users connect their handset to an unsafe Wi-Fi access point. The two hackers realized that the data including photos in the iPhone X won’t really get removed when users tap on the screen to delete it. In fact, users can still see all of these photos in the unit’s memory in 30 days since they are deleted. After the period, they will be permanently removed.
Apart from photos, hackers can possibly hack other important data on the iPhone X. In other words, if you are using an iPhone X, don’t feel safe right after removing all of your data. The hackers have said nothing related to other iPhones. It is likely that this flaw only occurs in the iPhone X or it is a common error in other iPhone models.
Apple has rapidly notified all iPhone X users in the world with this flaw and developed a fix to solve this break-down. While waiting for Apple, you should look for another solution to delete your important photos permanently.
