Two minors were arrested yesterday in Delhi for the alleged crime of breaking into a shop and took 20 smartphones to play PUBG with friends, according to the police.
According to the authority, they stole phones because theirs were broken and they wanted their friends to join the game. The burglar happened on the night of the 28th-29th of May in Naibsarai area, south Delhi.

On Friday, the owner failed a complaint saying that 30 mobile batteries, Chess and Ludo sets, and 20 smartphones were stolen from his shop. The two minors have been detained and the stolen goods were recovered.
At the police station, the two minors admitted they are addicted to the mobile game and wanted their friends to join. They said some certain tasks of the game are accessible to a group of players only.
This is not the first time minors committed crime because of PUBG addiction. Last year, a 16-year-old in Hyderabad left for Mumbai, staged his own kidnap, and ransom his parents for taking away his phone.
On his way to Mumbai, the boy borrowed a phone from a passenger and called his mother, pretending to be the kidnapper asking for Rs 3 lakh.

In February 2019, an 18 year old hung himself after he and his parents had an argument over a new phone for PUBG.
