You might know already that Photoshop for iPad is now available but Adobe wants to give the general mass even more benefit than that. What it does is an app called Photoshop Camera that will automatically edit photos for you.
The app has not been released for users yet but Adobe said that it would be available for Android and iOS users in 2020.
The app makes use of the Sensei tech of Adobe, which is what behind Photoshop’s features like “Select Subject.” The function will automatically recognize subjects and suggest appropriate edits.
What Adobe aims at here is to provide Photoshop’s benefits to those who do not want to spend time learning how to use the Photoshop software. With the Photoshop Camera app, users can shoot, edit, and share pictures from one single place only.
While you cannot expect the app to do what Adobe Photoshop Express can, but for an average user, the smartphone app of Adobe is more than enough. What we know now is that it can quickly recognize what you are about to shoot, like selfies, portraits, and landscapes, before applying edits when you take photos.
As with Photoshop, the app can also recognize face regions, dynamic range, and tonality.
Sometimes you may not like what the app applies on your photos so it always leaves you the original version of the shot. If you are in the mood for even more editing, the app also gives you options to use lenses from artists.
The app will not be launched until 2020 but if you want some hands-on experience with it or create your own lenses, you can join the Photoshop Camera preview program of Adobe.
