The investigation of the Delhi Police into the Bois Locker Room case has found a new twist. The Cyber Cell stated that the alleged conversation about gang rape didn’t happen in the chat group of Bois Locker Room.
In fact, the two cases were on two different social media platforms. The Bois Locker Room was on Instagram while the gang-raping conversation was on Snapchat.
Somehow, they got mixed up after the chats from the Bois Locker Room group chat emerged, making people believe that the boys were talking about gang-raping a girl.
But, the twist doesn’t just end there. The person who initiated the gang-raping talk on Snapchat was actually a girl. And she was talking about gang-raping herself the whole time.
Using a fake account called Siddharth, pretending to be a male person, the girl sent the messages to the boy to test him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Cyber Cell, Anyesh Roy, said that all the girl wanted to do was to check the reaction of the boy.
Meanwhile, the receiver who is also a juvenile rejected her suggestion and stopped communicating with the girl. After that, he screenshotted the messages and send them to his friends. And the girl was actually one of them.
The girl didn’t report the case to anyone. However, one of the boy’s friends posted it online as a separate story. And from then, the two cases got mixed up.
Roy added that they were trying to identify and interview the other members of the group as soon as possible.
