Bois Locker Room: 10 College Students Under Investigation For Exchanging Pics And Messages About Sexual Violence

Delhi Police’s cyber division recently revealed that some college students also take part in the vulgar Instagram’s chat group called ‘Bois Locker Room.’

Around 10 students, mostly in their first and second year at colleges, have been identified to have participated in chats where members discussing raping underage girls. The authority suspects there are other groups like this but since Bois Locker Room was exposed, they have been deactivated.

According to police officials, the students are being examined while the schoolboys will be handled in accordance with the Juvenile Justice Act.

The group on Instagram is now being investigated by the Delhi Police after it was revealed that members of Bois Locker Room exchanged obscene pictures and messages regarding girls, rape, and even gang-rape.

The police has notified Instagram of the matter and taken the identified suspects in for questioning. The devices the suspects used to exchange messages on Bois Locker Room have also been seized.

According to Rajendra Pal Gautam, Delhi Women and Child Development Minister, such behavior will not be tolerated. The WCD is collaborating with Directorate of Education to come up with a strategy to deal with similar incidents.

Instagram, after being notified, said the company took this matter very seriously and would not never allow such act on the platform. The company shared that content showing underage girls had been removed as soon as it was aware of the matter.

The existence of Bois Locker Room was exposed after a girl made public screenshots of the group chats. Many of the minors involved in the incident are attending reputable schools in Delhi.
