The world largest phone maker has got mocked by a giant toy producer. As strange as it may sound, the news is true.
The plastic construction toy company is making foldables too, just not anything like Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. The Danish toy manufacturer made a model that directly refer to Samsung’s famous foldable phone. The creation was posted on Twitter by Lego on Monday, illustrating a pop-up storybook called the Lego Fold.
According to the tweet, the book features a 5-inch cover and can be unfolded to an 11-inch storybook.
That’s a direct comparison to the Galaxy Fold which measures 4.6 inches when folded and 7.3 inches when unfolded.
However, the Lego Fold apparently that costs $70 contains two stories only, the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood while the high-class foldable phone from Samsung carries an entire package of smartphone features with a high-class price at $1,980.
Launched on February 21 (Indian time), the phone comes with a foldable seam in the middle and a metal chassis around the edges. When it is folded, it is a 4.6-inch HD+ AMOLED display while when unfolded, it will act as a tablet with a 7.3-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLE Infinity Flex panel. The company claims that it managed to engineer the Infinity Flex display and the hinge to handle hundreds of thousands of unfolds and folds.
