At the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), US President Donald Trump suddenly compared PM Modi to Elvis Presley, a renowned American musician and singer. At that time, PM Modi was participating in the ‘Howdy Modi’ event and got the warm welcome from Indian American people in Houston, Texas.

US President and PM Narendra Modi had a meeting in the ‘Howdy Modi’ event.

The reason why Mr. US President referred to Modi as Elvis Presley may be due to when he witnessed the crowd seemed to get crazy for the Indian Prime Minister. It was obvious that Narendra Modi had a great attraction with his citizens, same as the King of Rock ‘n Roll Elvis Presley with his fans.

For those unknown, Elvis was a US icon of Rock ‘n Roll in the middle of 1950s. He was also the one to take this musical genre to the real peak. As a drug addict, the talented singer died of a sudden heart attack in 1977 when he was just 44 years old.

Of course, Trump had no intention to call PM Modi a rock singer. He just wanted to compare the fame of these celebrities.
