Rats in every corner of the world are having a tendency to cannibalize and even eat their infants due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Bobby Corrigan, who is an urban rodentologist, told NBC News that owing to the sudden closure of thousands of restaurants all around the world, tons of rats living on those supplies for ages have been forced to struggle with their new life, where they won’t have as many choices as they used to.
Now, those tiny creatures can not find food and excrete, they have to apply more drastic measures. Corrigan compared them to other mammals, including human to indicate the terrible condition that forced them to fight with one another to kill the young and cannibalize the infants.
Additionally, the rodentologist also emphasized this process is actually the survival of the strongest rats. After that, a new army of them will show up, and the one with the most powerful combatants is going to gain control of that area.
During the global pandemic, rats are approaching city streets with a quantity that has never been recorded before. On many social networking platforms, people are spreading videos that show huge swarms of rodents invading the French Quarter in New Orleans.
As a result, other cities were forced to discuss with Washington DC officials to feed feral cats as a biological measure for this matter.
