What makes people angry is the description of the post, which claims that the bag was made entirely from the spines of children with osteoporosis, a disease that weakens bones.

Putra said that the account that made public the post was not his but he had a contribution to it.

He did not say whether it is true that the bag was made from children’s spine. However, he confirmed that it was real human bones he used.

The post has made lots of Instagram users angry and they took it on Putra’s account last week.

Some people express outrage that a person in a right mindset could use a deceased child’s spine to make a handbag. Another said that exploiting a dead child to make a profit is rock bottom.

Explaining the post, the designer said he bought the spine from Canada with legal papers. Putra also shared that licensed companies can sell human parts donated to science.

Trading human bones is legal in many countries including Canada and many states in the U.S, according to information from National Geographic.

Commenting on the angry responses on Instagram, the designer said opposition from the public was part of the learning process and he would not stop realizing his various ideas.
