Rs 199 Postpaid Plans Jio And BSNL Compared: 25GB Data, Unlimited Calling And More

If you fancy Airtel postpaid plans 199 but don’t want to pay the new Rs 249 price for it, you might want to consider that of BSNL and Jio.

While both telcos offer 25GB of data, 100 SMSs per day and unlimited voice call each month, there is no family add-ons or OTT subscription with Jio’s offer. However, at the price of Rs 199, you shouldn’t expect much in the first place.

BSNL Vs Jio Rs 199 Postpaid Plan Details

Let’s start with Jio's plan and see if it can be a substitute to Airtel postpaid plans 199.

The pack offers unlimited on-net calling and off-net calls are charged six paise for one minute. Users also have 25GB of data with no daily data limit and data rollover facility.

If you use up the allowed 25GB of data that comes with the pack, Jio will charge you Rs 20 for each GB. Last but not least, subscribers of this pack get 100 SMSs per day and free access to Jio apps.

If you don’t think Jio’s pack is a suitable substitute for Airtel postpaid plans 199, you might want to consider the Rs 199 postpaid plan of BSNL. The pack offers 25GB of data, with a maximum rollover of 75GB, 100 SMSs per day, unlimited on-net calling, and off-net calls of 300 minutes.

While the two telcos offer the same amount of data and number of SMSs, subscribers of BSNL get rollover facility and off-net minutes. However, interested users will have to wait until December 1, 2020, to be able to subscribe.

The state-owned telco used to offer Rs 225 and Rs 99 plans but they have been discontinued to make way for the new Rs 199 pack.

Those who are in the mood to splurge may want to consider the Rs 999 and Rs 798 plans which offer benefits like data rollover, family add-ons, and many more.

BSNL is stepping the postpaid game but the lack of 4G service will definitely hurt its development.

The telco may also offer OTT subscription as part of the Rs 999 and Rs 798 plans. BSNL has also revised another plan with family add-ons, which is the Rs 525 pack.

So you see, even if the former Airtel postpaid plans 199 isn’t available in your area, you aren’t short of substitutes.

The telco also has several Airtel postpaid plans for you to choose from too.
