The Porsche driver is the son of Asha Confectionery owner, Deepak Daryani. The young man’s family said he had driving license and curfew pass so the punishment was unjust.

According to Daryani, when he was flagged down, he was returning home after distributing food packets and he had curfew pass for it. However, the officials still made him do sit-ups and even filmed him doing so while cracking jokes about it.

The father backed his story and added that his son was giving food packets at police stations and to the poor.

Deepak Daryani said if his son did anything wrong, he should be taken back to the police station, not abused in front of the media like this. He has also filed a complaint for the wrongful treatment imposed on his son by the Security Council staff.
