A man in his 20s who drove a luxurious Porsche was stopped and made do sit-ups as punishments for violating the lockdown order.
Sanskar Daryani, the driver, was cruising on the road when he was spotted by some officials of Indore’s Security Council. This force is made up of retired paramilitary, police, and the Army to help the law enforcement staff with implementing the lockdown order in Indore.
The Porsche was later flagged down and the driver was inquired why he was on the street. At the time of being caught violating the lockdown order, Sanskar Daryani was not wearing a mask.
In a video, the man can be seen getting out of his car with papers on his hand to show the officials and then a person in black uniform and held a stick told him to do sit-ups. Daryani obeyed.
The Porsche driver is the son of Asha Confectionery owner, Deepak Daryani. The young man’s family said he had driving license and curfew pass so the punishment was unjust.
According to Daryani, when he was flagged down, he was returning home after distributing food packets and he had curfew pass for it. However, the officials still made him do sit-ups and even filmed him doing so while cracking jokes about it.
The father backed his story and added that his son was giving food packets at police stations and to the poor.
Deepak Daryani said if his son did anything wrong, he should be taken back to the police station, not abused in front of the media like this. He has also filed a complaint for the wrongful treatment imposed on his son by the Security Council staff.
