Bishop Edward, Brand Promotion Manager at Xiaomi, has teased its Mi MIX 4 on Weibo. Previously, he revealed that Xiaomi is not developing this phone in 2019, so the speculation has to stop. However, the release plans for Mi Mix 4 in 2019 seems to still be a thing. In a recent post, the manager said that the media outlets misinterpreted his statement before. He said he only meant the phone will not be arriving anytime soon. To recall, the brand was set to launch the phone at its recent event, but instead, it introduced the Mi Mix Alpha concept phone.

However, the MIX Alpha seems to be extremely pricey to afford when unveiled. In the previous statement, the manager simply asked the users not to ask about the phone. He didn’t mean the brand will not launch the handset. However, in the new statement, he still does not give any confirmation about the launch of the handset in 2019. He only stated that the information saying the MIX 4 will not be unveiled is wrong.

We are still confused about this at present. We do not know if the brand will unveil the MIX 4. But if it really comes to the market, it will surely be much more affordable than the MIX Alpha. Sometimes, the brand takes longer to unveil the next-gen Mi MIX phones. It is likely that the phone’s report will appear sometime by the end of 2019. Previously, the company had introduced the MIX 2s at the end of the year, so we should expect a new phone in the Mi MIX series later the year.
So far, we have known about the MIX Alpha concept smartphone with a wraparound display. The phone has a high screen-to-body ratio with a truly bezel-less display with a cut-out for housing camera setup. The phone has a 108MP main sensor, coupled with 3 other lenses. The phone comes with a Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC inside, 12GB and 512GB storage with UFS 3.0 support. The phone also has 5G connectivity and a big 4,055mAh cell with the 40W quick charging tech solution.
