Xiaomi will its Xiaomi Mi CC9 smartphones series in China tomorrow. Due to a lot of renders and leaks spotted before, we have already known most of the handset’s specs and design. Although the phone’s official pricing hasn’t been announced, a Chinese e-commerce platform already spotted the listing of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 series, showing the pricing of the base variant. In addition, the Meitu Edition was listed alongside the standard model as well. However, the above-mentioned site seems to have taken down these listings.

As you can see in the screenshots, the new Mi CC9 is expected to be priced from CNY2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,500) for the base variant while the Meitu Edition phone will cost CNY2,999 (roughly Rs. 30,500). This raises a question for many people about the affordable Mi CC9e whose price is expected to be at least CNY200 (roughly Rs. 2,000) lower than the base variant. At present, the lineup is only available in the Chinese market and obviously, the Mi CC9e is the cheapest phone in the series priced around Rs. 22,000.
The base Mi CC9 and affordable CC9e have appeared on TENAA listing. While the former sports a 6.39-inch display with a dewdrop notch, the latter comes with a 6.08-inch screen. Both phones also have different chipsets under the hood. In particular, the base Mi CC9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 730 chipset while the Mi CC9e has a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The specs of the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition have remained unknown; however, last week, Xiaomi has released a teaser of its devices via official channels. And according to Anuj Sharma, Marketing Head of Xiaomi India, this new series will also come to the Indian market.
Recently, the Mi CC9e has surfaced on Geekbench benchmark ahead of the official launch. According to the screenshot you can see below, there isn’t much info revealed about this handset but Android 9.0 Pie, 6GB RAM, and an octa-core 1.8GHz SoC.
In addition, according to results in the single-core and multi-core tests, the handset could be powered by a Snapdragon 632 SoC or Snapdragon 710 SoC. And as mentioned above, the cheap Mi CC9e sports a 6.08-inch display, which is different from the 6.39-inch display of the base Mi CC9. The remaining specs of the phone have been not revealed yet.
