Redmi 7A: Specs & Features
In terms of hardware specifications, the budget Redmi 7A sports a 5.45-inch HD+ panel with 1,440 x 720p resolution. Unlike recent Redmi smartphones, the device features an aspect ratio of 18:9 instead of 19.5:9 with a water-drop on the top. Moreover, you can also see thick bezels on both sides and sizable chin at the bottom. In addition, the phone also features P2i-splash coating, which means the phone will be resistant to water.
Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 439 SoC under the hood with two memory configurations, including 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage model or 3GB RAM + 32GB expandable storage up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. It is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery, and with the energy-efficient processor, the Redmi 7A will likely have crazy battery life. For software, it will ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box possibly with Xiaomi’s MIUI on top.
In terms of camera, the handset will sport a 13MP single camera on the rear with an LED flash and camera features like AI beauty, AI portrait mode, and PDAF. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with support for Face Unlock feature which is the sole biometric security measure on the front as it lacks a fingerprint scanner.
