Xiaomi Executive Confirms Not To Be Developing Mi MIX 4

A Xiaomi's executive has just answered users' question regarding the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 on Weibo.

Xiaomi has just launched MIUI 11 OS and the Mi 9 Pro 5G at a recent event in the home country last week. Although Xiaomi was first expected to introduce its Mi MIX 4 phone, that did not come true. Instead, this brand launched the MIX Alpha concept handset with a wraparound screen and a screen-to-body ratio of 180.6 percent. Recently, the promotional manager at Xiaomi teased on Weibo that the company would not be unveiling the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4. As the Mi MIX lineup has always come with breakthroughs in design, the Mi MIX Alpha also affirms itself in the series with dual-screen design and a 108MP main sensor.

However, the price gap is becoming wider at present compared to other previous-gen MIX devices as the phone is priced at CNY20,000 (roughly Rs. 200,000), which makes the phone unaffordable for most users and pricier than the foldable Huawei Mate X and Galaxy Fold. The MIX Alpha comes with mistouch detection techs like AI algorithms and multi sensors. The sides of the phone are greatly curved to the phone’s edges and they can show host widgets, notifications, etc. On the front, there is no selfie shooter. Instead, users can use the triple camera module on the back for taking selfies.

Under the hood, the MIX Alpha is powered by a flagship Snapdragon 855+ chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM + 512GB internal storage with USB 3.0 support. In terms of imaging capabilities, as mentioned above, the phone has a triple rear camera setup including a 108-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel depth sensor with support for 2X zoom for capturing portraits and a 20MP wide angle sensor. Additionally, the ISOCELL Bright sensor made by Samsung can offer 6K (3,384 x 6,016 pixels) video recording at 30fps. In addition, the phone also enables 5G network. Furthermore, the handset is packed with a big 4,050mAh battery with support for the 40W quick charging tech.
