The successor to the Vivo Z3x, Vivo Z5x might come with a massive 5,000mAh battery and a hole-punch display.

Vivo is said to soon announce a new handset with a punch-hole display. Alleged renders of the Vivo Z5x has just been spotted on Weibo. If this is true, the Z5x will be the first phone from the company to come with a punch-hole display. And Vivo will join the list of few companies that launch phones with such design like Samsung, Honor, Motorola, and Huawei.

According to the Chinese leakster, the phone will also pack a massive battery apart from the hole-punch design. The device is said to be powered by a monstrous 5,000 mAh battery possibly with Vivo’s Dual-Engine Fast charging solution. With such battery, the Vivo Z5x will have a much larger battery than the 3,260mAh battery of the Vivo Z3x and the largest battery in the Vivo Z series. For availability, it is currently unknown whether the phone will come out.

For hardware specifications, its predecessor Vivo Z3x packs a Snapdragon 660 SoC so we speculate that the Z5x might be powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 670 SoC or Snapdragon 675 SoC. However, that is purely speculation, and it isn’t confirmed by any source yet, not even in any leak. For software, it should ship with the company’s Funtouch v9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

To recall, its predecessor Vivo Z3x hit the deck last month. The device launched in the mid-range segment with a Snapdragon 660 processor under the hood, paired with 4GB RAM + 64GB of storage. In terms of camera, it comes with a dual camera setup, comprising of a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also a 16MP selfie camera up front for taking selfies and video. It also has a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a small notch at the top. Other features include Android 9.0 Pie-based FuntouchOS v9.0 and a 3,260 mAh battery.
