Vivo Z5i With Snapdragon 675 & 5,000mAh Battery Goes Official

Vivo Z5i is a new device from Vivo with a Snapdragon 675 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support, and 8GB of RAM.

Today, Vivo has just introduced a new phone in the Chinese market called Vivo Z5i. While the device has a similar front design to the Vivo Z5 with a dewdrop notch, its rear panel seems to be identical to that of the Vivo Z5x with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The handset comes with a Snapdragon 675 SoC and it is available in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Other specs include triple rear cameras, 16MP selfie shooter, Android 9 Pie, and a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for Vivo's 18W quick charging solution.

Vivo Z5i: Price

The handset is priced at CNY 1,798 (around Rs. 18,300) in China and we have no idea whether the phone will make its way to other markets. 

It is available in two color variants - Glazed Black and Jade Blue.

Vivo Z5i: Specifications & Features

The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor that is aided by 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot that users can use to expand its storage (up to 256GB). Under the hood, it is packed with a beefy 5,000 mAh battery cell that is charged with the company’s 18W fast charging technology. Connectivity features include a headphone jack, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, and a micro-USB port. Finally, the brand equips it with a fingerprint reader on the rear panel for biometric authentication.

Vivo has been quite active this month with the launch of Vivo S1 Pro, Vivo U20, Vivo S5, and more.

At the back, it rocks a triple camera lens cluster, including a 16MP main sensor, a 2MP depth-sensing camera, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 to take selfies and video chats. In the software side of things, the device comes pre-loaded with Android 9 Pie and FunTouchOS 9.2.
