Vivo Y5s is the latest smartphone from the Chinese phone maker. The device arrives as a rebranded model of the Vivo Y19, which made its first debut in Thailand and is coming to India pretty soon. It comes with a water-drop notched display and a gradient finish at the back. Powering the phone is an Helio P65 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For photography, the brand goes for a triple camera cluster on its rear that includes a Superwide lens with 120° FOV.

The handset’s price in China is CNY 1,498 (around Rs. 15,300) for the single variant with 6GB RAM / 128GB storage. There are a total of three hues for users to choose - Blue, Green, and Black.

The Vivo Y5s flaunts a 6.53” IPS LCD panel that supports FHD+ resolution (2,340 x 1,080p) and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. On top of the display, there is a ‘Halo’ notch that accommodates a selfie camera. Under the hood, it packs an Helio P65 chipset that is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you find 128GB is still not enough, you can use a microSD card to expand its storage further.
In terms of software, it ships with Android 9 Pie pre-installed with FunTouchOS 9.2. You won’t need to worry much about the battery life as the brand packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery on this phone. Moreover, the charging time won’t be that long since it supports 18W fast charging solution. Other notable features include a rear fingerprint reader, Jovi AI assistant, Multi-Turbo tech for better performance, and a headphone jack.
Moving to the camera department, it has a 16MP AI camera on the front for taking selfie shots. At the back, the company uses a triple camera system, that includes a 16MP primary shooter with an aperture of f/1.78, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle snapper with 120-degree FOV. Camera modes include time-lapse photography, Full-HD video recording, portrait mode, panorama, and SuperHDR.
