Vivo just unveiled a new handset called Vivo Y3 in its home market with a triple camera setup and a massive 5,000 mAh battery.

It seems like smartphone makers are trying to embracing the triple cameras trend on their mid-range handsets. The latest offering from Chinese company Vivo called Vivo Y3 just joins the competition with a triple rear camera setup. The phone has already been featured in some leaks that revealed some of its specs. Now, the company officially unveiled the device and also confirmed its details via a listing in an e-commerce site in China.
Vivo Y3: Price
According to the listing on JD.com, the handset is priced at CNY 1,498 which is equivalent to around Rs. 15,200. The phone is listed to pack 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and comes in three color variants, including Peacock Blue, Ink Blue, and Peach Pink. The company hasn’t mentioned the availability and pricing of the Vivo Y3 in India, but we believe that it should come to the market soon.
Vivo Y3: Specs & Features
As mentioned, Vivo launched the Vivo Y3 in the mid-segment with a triple camera setup. On the front, it comes with a 6.35-inch HD_ panel with a water-drop on top and a 19.3:9 aspect ratio. According to the company, the device has a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent. On the rear, it has an attractive look thanks to the gradient finish, but its rear panel is not made of glass. Powering the phone is an MTK Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM + 128GB of storage which is expandable using a microSD card.
On the camera front, it sports a triple camera setup stacked vertically on the rear. The setup comprises of a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP 120-degree ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Handling selfie duties is a 16MP camera which also supports Face Unlock feature. Apart from Face Unlock, the device is also equipped with a fingerprint reader on the rear for biometric authentication. Notably, it is fueled by a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. For software, it boots the latest Android 9 Pie with Vivo’s FunTouch OS v9.0 on top. Other features of the Vivo Y3 include a micro USB port and an audio jack.
