Vivo Y3 Standard Edition has just been announced for the Chinese market. It’s a model of the Vivo Y3 that made its appearance in May this year. Being a new variant, this Standard Edition model features a Snapdragon chipset and a dual-camera system at the back. It is also equipped with a fingerprint reader at the back and also supports Face Recognition feature for biometric security. Users can use the power button to trigger Jovi AI voice assistant. For gaming sessions, there is a Game Magic Box available as well.
Vivo Y3 Standard Edition: Price
The handset is priced at CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,000) for the 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage variant. It is up for grabs in either Jake Red or Ink Blue hues via the company’s website in China.
Vivo Y3 Standard Edition: Features & Specifications
The device comes with a 6.35-inch display with HD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch at the top for a selfie camera. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 439 chipset, aided by 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable using a microSD card). Software-wise, it ships with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Vivo’s FunTouch OS v9.1 on top.
For photography, the brand goes for a dual-camera system at the back that includes a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary shooter. Upfront, users can take selfies with an 8MP shooter. For security, Vivo packs a fingerprint reader at the back of the phone. In addition, the device also supports Face Unlock feature if you don’t want to use the fingerprint reader. The capacity of its battery is 5,000 mAh, which should be enough for the whole day of use. With 10W fast charging solution, you can charge the battery at a decently fast rate. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth, MicroUSB, a headphone jack, and 4G LTE. Its dimensions are 159.43 x 76.77 x 8.92 mm.
