While the year 2019 is coming near, some top smartphone companies including Samsung, Huawei, and OnePlus have shown their plans to design the first 5G smartphone in the world. In recent times, the fourth company - Vivo has confirmed its participation in the futuristic tech race.
In 2018, Vivo has made a strong impression on the tech community due to the on-screen fingerprint sensor in its smartphones, and it promises to roll out its first 5G smartphone in the next two years. This is the official statement from Vivo given in the International Symposium on ICT Technology.
The company plans to introduce the pre-release version of the 5G smartphone in the next year, and the official release will come to light in 2020. During the two years, from 2017 to 2018, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project or 3GPP has received more than 1,500 proposals from the Chinese tech company.
Until now, everything revolving around the 5G smartphone has still been a secret.
Citing from many sources, Samsung may be the first brand to release a 5G smartphone in ‘early 2019’. Besides, another same kind of smartphone which is manufactured by Huawei will arrive in June 2019. OnePlus hasn’t given any official announcement on the release date of its product.
According to Ken Hu, the Huawei’s chairman, the company may design a foldable fifth-generation one that can come into the public eye in the middle of 2019. He further said Huawei was conducting its plan precisely as expected.
Also, the South Korean tech company, Samsung, is apparently developing three smartphones shortly. Apart from a 5G version, another two smartphones are the Galaxy S10 and S10+ which are expectedly rolled out before the 5G one. However, this is not official information from the company, and nothing is entirely sure.
While Huawei and Samsung have revealed a part of their futuristic tech products, OnePlus hasn’t said anything regarding its 5G smartphone.
